For the past several years, there’s been a major offshoring push by accountants. Unfortunately this is all money based. These firms want more profit. We all know that accountants (including those at McMillan Consulting) charge enough to afford U.S. based staff. We believe that any accountant farming out your work should tell you. Many do not. So if it concerns you ask your accountant who will prepare your work and in what environment.
All though the margins are better for those who offshore, somethings are best left here. We’re not completing comfortable sending information overseas. Yes, there are all types of securities in place to protect the transmission of your data. But what happens to it once it reaches it’s destination? Besides, we’d rather hire our neighbor than someone we will probably never have a chance to meet.
McMillan Consulting’s coworkers and sub contractors are all U.S. based. All work is completed in controlled environments with them not having access to more of your information than is necessary to complete your work.
